Wagener Construction began the same way many good businesses do - with a big goal, plenty of hard work and a commitment to doing things properly. In late 2023, we invested in our first digger and tip truck, giving us greater control over our projects and allowing us to complete more of the work with our own people and equipment.
Since then, we have continued to grow our team, expand our machinery and strengthen our capabilities. We now have established operations in both Invercargill and Queenstown, delivering concrete projects throughout Southland and Central Otago regions.
Our work ranges from site preparation, formwork, house foundations and concrete floors through to driveways, patios, paths, commercial concrete and large rural projects such as wintering barns, feed pads and cow lanes. In Invercargill, we also pump our own concrete work, allowing us to coordinate preparation, pumping, placement and finishing as one complete package.

Wagener Construction owns and operates a range of machinery, including diggers, tip trucks and specialist concrete equipment. This allows us to complete more of each project in-house, from site preparation and excavation through to concrete placement and finishing.
In Southland, our concrete pumping is carried out through Wagener Concrete Pumping Ltd. Having our own pump allows us to coordinate preparation, pumping, placement and finishing as one complete package.
